So its been a while since I have posted but now I have another placement & there's so much to discuss. She's 11yr old ADHD & other mental issues. She comes from a large family & the father is extremely controlling & never engages me unless its beneficial to him. I have my concerns she ran away after her 1st wk when she threatened another placement in my hm, but soon after told her parents she wants to stay there and not be sent anywhere else. There's aggression, impulsiveness…

I have a mental image of myself as a stay-at-home mom. It is a false impression of myself because I have not been a mom with no job outside of the home for many years. I have been a foster parent, an adoptive parent and a biological parent. My house and my heart are very full places. Currently, I have 6 children living in my home ages 19, 17, 17, 15, 6 and 5. Three I gave birth to, two I adopted and the last one just moved in. I have experienced the joy and the heartbreak of fostering children and I would like to share that journey with you. I should clarify the fact that I am not currently licensed as a foster parent, but I believe that I will…

So my fd mother's rights have finally been temrinated and yes I am happy. Not because of my selfishness but due to the on again off again nature of her mothers affections towards the child. Mom just cant seem to stop drug abuse and finally just disappeared. (For the 2nd time in 1yr)! She has other family members who didnt step up until she came to my home (naturally) and it has been drama ever since. Mom's rights were just terminated last month and my agency has put in a petition for my…
