I'm excited to be an official part of Foster Care Central. I'm sixty nine now, and might not have future foster kids, but my wife and I continue to be involved in much of the lives of some of our "kids" years after they've reached adulthood. None were available for adoption. So its been a while since I have posted but now I have another placement & there's so much to discuss. She's 11yr old ADHD & other mental issues. She comes from a large family & the father is extremely controlling & never engages me unless its beneficial to him. I have a mental image of myself as a stay-at-home mom.  It is a false impression of myself because I have not been a mom with no job outside of the home for many years. However, I cannot shake the inner conviction that this is what I am.  The problem started when I became a crossing guard for the elementary school close to my home.  My kids would walk down to the corner with me and play awhile and then continue onto school when it was time.  When the foster kids came, the same thing…
